Special Branch
Today two members of the Special Branch (SB) counter terrorism group came into Chesterfield College from derby. They spoke to us about terrorism and the methods which the terrorist use before they attack, they also showed us a video which helped us to understand and visualise the sort of things they do. For example going around a big shopping outlet such as Meadowhall and take pictures of places where they are going to plant bombs these are usually busy places to cause maximum damage.
I found the talk very interesting and I’m now more aware of things going on around me and I'm also now thinking of Special Branch as a possible job option.
